FA Night Out - Dinner and Theater!

Saturday, December 7th - New Milford, CT

First we'll meet at La Piccolina, a northern Italian restaurant  in downtown New Milford CT for dinner. Time to be determined...probably 5:45 as the play starts at 8pm.   Click on the link for a look at the restaurant and the menu. http://www.lapiccolinact.com/

Then after dinner we'll head over to Theatreworks to see "Boeing, Boeing". (The theater is less than half a mile away) Tickets are $23 and the sooner we book the better seats we will be able to get.  So don't wait to let us know if you are going to join us.   Here is a link to Theatreworks. http://theatreworks.us/ You can go to the site to see the seating arrangement. You will see that it is a small theater and right now there are lots of good seats. How long that will last I don't know.

Tickets have already been booked for the play, but if you are interested in coming along just let us know and we will see if we can get seats with the group.

Hope to see you all,   Jill Rohan   and Maria Robert Strongwater

PS. If you would like to come just for dinner or just for the play that is fine too!  Want to bring a significant other? Of course!

KIWI News New York Area

New Jersey Chapter -  A message from Sam Gooch about the newly organized chapter of the KIWI Club.

"The Newark KIWI Club is open to all Retired and Line American Airlines/American Eagle Flight Attendants.  We started our chapter last month with 35 new members. We are still growing and would love to see everybody. We meet every other month for lunch and gossip. The next meeting is  November 14, 2013 at the Bridgewater Marriott (across the street from the Bridgewater Mall). If anyone is interested in more information they can contact Nancy Waller kiwinancywaller-aol.com or myself at clubewrkiwi-aol.com (Sam Gooch) or give me a call  732/644.5890.

In November we are collecting canned goods and shelf stable items for a local Food Pantry.

If anyone would like to join us on Facebook, please Friend us on: Club EWR Kiwi Club

The officers for this chapter are:

Nancy Waller - President

Sam Gooch - Vice-President

Bonnie Hussey - Secretary

Maureen Gallagher - Treasurer"

Other KIWI Information

This is to remind you that the Kiwi dues are to be paid in November.  Send your check to Marguerite Bartlett ASAP in the amount of $60.  This is for 2 years, with $50 going to National and only $10 going to your local chapter.  Mailings are expensive, so it really is necessary to support your local chapter.  If you have any ideas for a fund raiser - please pass it on.  We are in need of officers also.

Right now Marguerite Bartlett is the President. (184B Apache Lane, Stratford, CT.06614)  bartlettstrt@aol.com  (203) 377-5022

Gloria Schlacter is Vice President. (1085 Warburton Ave. Apt#108, Yonkers, NY 10701)

gbs10701@aol.com  (914) 375-0070

For more information about the KIWI Club go to www.TheKiwiClub.org

There are 42 Kiwi chapters in over 21 states making up our national organization.  The individual chapters support many of their local charities and worthy causes, including shelters for abused women and children, food pantries, breast cancer awareness, the Ronald McDonald House, Guide Dogs for the Blind, to name a only a few. As a group, we support Wings, an organization that provides aid to American Airlines Flight Attendants who are in critical need of financial assistance as a result of illness, injury, calamity or disability. Additionally, we take care of our own by donating $1 of our dues to the National Kiwi Fund, a fund that helps Kiwis in need.
